A two-hour workshop bringing together industrial simulation practitioners and quantum researchers to examine where computation limits engineering simulation today, and where quantum computing could potentially contribute.

Where could quantum computing make a difference in engineering simulation?

Quantum computing is often discussed in terms of what it might accelerate. We want to start somewhere else: with engineers who work with simulation today.

Where are the real bottlenecks in structural mechanics and computational fluid dynamics? Which are computational, which are modelling problems, and where do engineers currently make compromises because of computational cost?

From there, QunaSys will share what we have learned from exploring quantum computing for engineering simulation with industrial partners, before going deeper into one concrete approach to quantum fluid simulation.

No background in quantum computing is required.
