QunaSys Joins Q-Neko to Advance Practical Integration of Quantum and HPC Technologies

QunaSys Europe (QunaSys Denmark ApS) and QunaSys Japan (QunaSys Inc.) are participating in Q-Neko (The Nippon-Europe Quantum Koraborēshon), a major EU–Japan initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration in quantum technologies and high-performance computing (HPC). Through this joint engagement across Europe and Japan, we contribute our expertise in application-driven quantum algorithm development and hybrid HPC+QC integration to accelerate the practical use of quantum technologies in industrial settings.
As quantum computing continues to mature, its real impact will depend not only on advances in hardware but on how effectively it can be embedded into real-world computational workflows. Moving from theoretical advantage to operational value requires robust hybrid HPC+QC architectures, domain-specific problem formulation, and rigorous validation in industrial contexts. QunaSys is committed to advancing this practical integration.

About Q-Neko

Launched in 2026, Q-Neko brings together leading research institutions and industrial partners from Europe and Japan to advance hybrid HPC+QC technologies and strengthen international collaboration in quantum science and engineering.
Supported by Horizon Europe and the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking on the European side, and Japan’s Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP), the project aims to:

  • Promote knowledge and resource sharing between Europe and Japan
  • Develop a forward-looking technology roadmap
  • Contribute to benchmarking and pre-standardization efforts in HPC–quantum integration
  • Advance the software stack required for seamless HPC+AI+QC workflows
  • Build a portfolio of quantum-enabled solutions addressing scientific and industrial challenges

By fostering cross-border collaboration and aligning technological development strategies, Q-Neko lays important groundwork for the next generation of hybrid computing systems.

QunaSys Comment

Quantum computing will realize its true value when it becomes seamlessly embedded in real industrial workflows. In this context, hybrid HPC+QC approaches play a critical role in bridging the gap between theoretical potential and practical, operational impact.
At QunaSys, we focus on application-driven quantum algorithm development and close collaboration with industry partners. By combining domain expertise with advanced algorithm design, we help translate complex challenges in areas such as materials science, chemistry, and optimization into executable hybrid computing solutions.
Through Q-Neko, we look forward to contributing to the advancement of robust HPC+AI+QC integration and to supporting the development of practical use cases that demonstrate measurable industrial relevance. We believe that sustained international collaboration is key to ensuring that quantum technologies evolve from promising research into trusted and scalable industrial tools.
