Quantum computing today

Once universal error-free quantum computers are created, we would be able to obtain a significant advantage in high-level physical chemistry simulations, machine learning, and optimization for solving complex issues of modern society.

Instead of just waiting for such ultimate quantum computers to emerge, universities and companies are actively pursuing research with the belief that we can get the useful results to society and industry with even current imperfect quantum computers.

Necessity for cutting-edge hardware and software

In order to have quantum computing as a tool for industry and society, breakthroughs in hardware engineering, such as scaling and integrating qubits are in need.

For the realization of quantum advantage, however, it is also essential to focus on creating software that would allow hardware to reach its maximum potential.

The development of such powerful software would require a lot of work, including the development of techniques for efficiently using small numbers of qubits and the improvement of noise-resilient algorithms.

Our aim

As an R&D-oriented startup, QunaSys continues to create new technologies by working both on the research to overcome technical challenges and the engineering to benefit society and industry.

Through this R&D system, research results from physics, which have largely remained out of the spotlight, can be more quickly used to help society, and the gained profits can then be invested back into research and education. Our goal is to realize such a cycle, where physics is driving the development of the entire society.

Working conditions
  • Work location: Tokyo head office (remote work by consultation)
  • Professional labor flexible work hours system (imputed daily working hours: 8 hours)
  • Annual paid leave system per company regulations (10 days granted at time of hire)


Salary
  • Variable, per company regulations. Considers experience, ability, etc.
